Job Description
The Senior Coordinator, Multi-State Workforce Programs position resides on our Programs team and reports to and works closely with the Director of Multi-State Workforce Programs. This role will work cross-functionally throughout the organization to support the success of the Healthy School Food Pathway (HSFP) pilot programs. This position leads the planning and implementation of the pilot Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship programs, including participant selection, onboarding, and orientation; learning schedule and facilitation; evaluation components; and reporting to funders, states, and federal agencies. This role ensures the HSFP Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship are piloted and implemented at the highest level and represent the organization’s commitment to quality, result-driven programming.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management
- Manages the Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship program timelines, such as key deliverables, to ensure adequate planning and implementation;
- Updates and creates program materials, such as program guides and quarterly reports for pilot states, and contributes to the creation of branded program collateral and storytelling efforts with the Marketing team;
- Builds and maintains relationships with key program stakeholders, including K-12 school food operators, state agencies, higher education, and workforce development entities, providing exceptional customer service and upholding the organization’s commitment to high-touch relationship management;
- Facilitation and participant support;
- Coordinates and leads educational program components, including live virtual learning sessions, to ensure program participants achieve desired learning competencies;
- Supports program participants during the course of the program to ensure timely completion of all required learning for the Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship programs and an overall positive experience in the program that leads to participation in the Apprenticeship program.
Recruitment and Selection
- Leads the launch of new Pre-Apprenticeship cohort applications, including updating application questions, tracking applications, and providing applicant assistance;
- Creates and deploys recruitment and enrollment strategies for program participants;
- Leads participant selection (including interviews) and onboarding processes of the Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship to ensure they have the information needed to participate in the program, and all necessary documentation is submitted;
- Reporting and registration;
- Oversees the registration and maintenance of HSFP Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship (and Fellowship, if necessary) programs with appropriate state and/or federal-based entities and creates necessary systems for tracking regulatory compliance;
- Works closely with the Multi-State Workforce Programs team to leverage work and knowledge, share resources, track program statistics, and report on workforce development initiatives.
Program Planning and Improvement
- Contributes to HSFP development in new states to help create a state-specific workforce development program that increases the talent pipeline and provides upskilling opportunities for current school food professionals;
- Works closely with the Multi-State Workforce Programs team to identify and implement program improvements to enhance the participant experience.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in workforce development or program management experience with increasing responsibility throughout role(s);
- Strong proficiency in G Suite platforms, especially on Mac OS;
- Ability to work virtually.
Preferred Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, G Suite, Asana, Moodle, and Salesforce platforms;
- Knowledge of and/or work experience in school food;
- Knowledge of and/or work experience in workforce development;
- Experience in program planning and management.

Compensation
Compensation ranges between $54,600 - $71,280 per year and will be commensurate with the candidate’s previous experience and credentials. The Chef Ann Foundation is a great place to work.
